I find it 'strange' that DJ closed down their forum due to it being incompatible with the new web design or some such nonsense. I think they closed it because users were complaining about the Juicer product and some other issues. I was just about to update my notes indicating that DJ finally fixed the Always On issue of the Juicer software needing to be connected to the Internet. It appears that Juicer 3.89d Build 270 works finally on my system that is not connected to the Internet!
I just don't get it. Was there any announcement from DJ regarding they were closing down the forums? I use the Juicer software to convert stuff over for use in Vegas. If you go to, this is what pops up now. DJ Forum Offline The forum software we were using was no longer supported in our new site framework. Our web team plans to evaluate and add a new forums to both our gear and content sites once we fully complete the transition. We regret any inconvenience.FixitMAD.
Good - it wasn't just me. I was initially excited about their new Vegas projects, but the problems I was having with Juicer was really driving me nuts. I would load the product but about half of the previews would not be available in Juicer. I probably spent five hours on the phone with their support person, and even gave them remote access to my PC a couple of times as they kept escalating the issue. Juicer and the Ready2Go products were reinstalled at least a dozen times. Libraries and indexes were deleted and rebuilt three or four times.
I think I was my case that precipitated build 370. I was watching an engineer from the Juicer team look at, delete, build, move and otherwise examine my installation remotely when he said they would call me with a solution. About an hour later the support guy called me back and told me to download build 270 and try again. It still didn't work. I went away on a planned vacation, and when I got back, my case had closed due to non-response from me.
(Sound familiar?) A week ago I threatened to expose my problems on the video editing forums I frequent. No response from DJ, so here it is.
Mp3 Juicer Download Music
What problems have others had? Steve Mann MannMade Digital Video. I have some DJ stuff and have had a few issues but none like what Stephen mentioned. My observations: a. Some DJ stuff can be used w/o the Juicer. Editor's Themekits, ETK Pro Singles, Animated Collections, etc. Can be used directly in Vegas.
These are jpg, mov, wav. The mov are QT PhotoJPEG or QT Ani(mation) if an Alpha is included. Music, although the final output is wav, must be Juicer-ed. DJ uses a proprietary format (STX?). Eg, w/ MusicBOX you can select the tracks, then export.
I only exported full length wav(s). For DJ products requiring the Juicer. Make an ISO image(s) first. I think Stephen's the one who suggested this.
Use Virtual Clone Drive to mount it when needed. Leave the friggin' DVD in its case thereafter. These are on an ISO images ONLY HD. Mount each ISO for Juicer installation. This is a separate HD for third-party content. For Ready2Go products, I've only exported 1920x1080-30p. I let Vegas handle moving to any other targets (1080-24p, 720-30p, 720-24p.) rather than re-Juicer.
Again, I only Juicer-ed the WHOLE project; it is easier for me to find what I need from the Juicer-ed directory rather than re-Juicer. I HATE DJ naming conventions. Eg, given project Foo, DJ's SECOND variation is Foo Option 1 or FooCop 1.
I rename these to be Foov1, Foov2, Foov3. I have seen bugs in a few Ready2Go projects. One was ghost text on a.mov. Fortunately, the.mov was taken from Compositor's Toolkit so I grabbed a similar.mov and replaced the problem one in the Ready2Go.veg h. I have had problems reading one of their DVDs. I assume it is their DVD supplier vendor, not DJ directly.
Tried 3 different computers. On the third copy they sent me, Windows was able to read/copy the problem.mov file. Summary: I try to spend as little time with the Juicer as possible. Eg, for a R2G product, I'll ISO-image, Juicer install, Juicer export the WHOLE collection.
Thereafter, if I need something, just copy the necessary Juicer-ed files, which in many cases is only the.veg files. Digital Juice closed down their forum because they don't want people telling the truth about where they get their products. They steal other people's products, make cheap copies and put their name on them. Thermador gas range service manual. All of their video products have been in the marketplace for many years. They take the products from small companies, who don't have the money to fight them. If you put the name Digital Juice into Google you will find a number of links to what I am saying. Not only do they take other people's equipment, they make inferior copies and when they fall apart they won't answer the complaints that are made to the company. This is why they closed down their forum.
I have now noticed issues yet again with their Juicer software and they are now soon ending this software for something new 'All New Juicer' (which I heard is online based only). What I find annoying is that they are now going subscription based and even though the 'offer' to join the Founding Member ended over a week ago, they are still sending out emails indicating you can still sign up. If the offer ended, end it! The new Juicer 3.90 Build 118 has search issues and problems with the thumbnails. I'm pretty sure they could care less about fixing it. I've notified them, but in less than 15 days, they will close their old site and you can only sign in if you signed up and paid to be a Founding Member. I have a feeling they did not get enough users paying the $249 up front so they are extending this 'offer'.

I for one, will not be joining them. Diane, I'm interested in knowing what products they have copied others from since I have heard this as well but I'm not finding a lot details.FixitMad.
There is much to like (and dislike) about Digital Juice's 'Juicer'. Over the years I've gone back and forth from using it, to uninstalling it, reinstalling it, cussing it, loving it, rinse, & repeat.
(many times) Although I'm NOT a fan of the 'Subscription' model of software licensing/use, I'm liking the NEW Juicer: Any Thoughts/Opinions on the new direction of Digital Juice and more specifically 'The Juicer'? - I'm not posting this to get into a battle/debate about Digital Juice as a company, and I'm hoping the discussion does not get turned into one. You may be hoping it will not turn 'into one' - but hope springs eternal!
Digital Juice is not the only content provider hoping to make more money from the subscription model. But it all remains to be seen. And truly proven in the long run. Their former business model which was to include a package like VegasPro templates that included a couple of really great items along with a few not so great was always the hook that kept you coming back for more. How will it work when you only want to pick and choose the singles you like best?
Revenue could go down. The management has not thought this process out very well - a goal that seems to seek more revenue could likely go in reverse direction. Here is what to like about the Juicer concept - 1) you can buy really well designed art 2) A real variety of graphics from transistion efx to background art for print packages 3) The Juicer app allows you to really customize everything from graphics to sound.
4) It is the only remaining source for VegasPro compositing that is professional in look. I've order a fair amount of stuff from them over the years but my last experience convinced me to swear off them completely. I made an order for 2 lights and decided an hour later to change my mind. It was after hours so I sent and e-mail and left a phone message. They informed me the next day that since it was in the system already they would have to charge me about $50 to cancel the order even though it had not been sent out yet.
I tried to reason with them explaining all my purchases over the years and their lack of customer service but they refused to budge. I ended up filing a complaint with Discover card and they refunded me the full amount. A month later I get a message from Digital Juice asking me to drop the complaint so they could refund all of my money.
Something is seriously wrong with that company and multiple reviews from past employees on the web seem to confirm that. DavidMcKnight: Remember the good 'ol days when DJ had personality, and people behind the products? They are all gone, and many of them are now at Rampant Design Tools. $250 Founder Fee (credited towards purchases) $10/month $1/ea Download When I first heard of DJ years ago, I thought they were awesome and really helped me up the look of my projects.
Therefore, I bought, recommended, and have accumulated a decent sized DJ library. Although I've used lots of their software/visual offerings, I've never used any of their hardware products. I've either never had the need or had access to less expensive alternatives. I too have seen numerous complaints and have had a few complaints myself. Mostly about The Juicer. I started this thread after seeing the 'New' Juicer video.
I've also reinstalled the latest version of The Juicer along with all my DJ products to an external HD for easy centralized access. (I'm NOT planning on subscribing or upgrading my juicer) The Juicer has always seemed a bit slow and cumbersome to me.
Even losing my library a few times. I like seeing that you will be able to customize using The Juicer's Creative Genius Engine. No more need to go out to After Effects! If implemented correctly, this could really help save time and provide better project organization.
I like the thought of The Marketplace. You can sell your footage &/or creatives.
In the window called Prevent changing mouse pointers, choose Enabled and tap OK. Step 3: Enable this setting. Later, if you open the Mouse Properties window, you will find that the Pointers tab disappears, which means you cannot change the mouse pointer here. Locate it by following the path of User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Control Panel/Personalization/ Prevent changing mouse pointers, and then double-click it to open the setting. Free mouse cursor download for windows 7. Note: The '' setting has no effect if you modify the mouse pointer in the setting of 'Make the mouse easier to use'.
They say The New Juicer is 'Fast, Sleek, and Clean'. It sure needs to be. ' The big problem I see is the '$1 for everything' Actually I don't think most people understanding the '$1 for everything' model. This was asked about on their forums and the reply was so shocking as to be unbelievable but this what was said: The question was asked, 'Does $1 for everything mean that sets like StackTraxx's that have 40 songs would be $1 per song?'
The answer was: No. So each song has a 00:10:00, 00:15:00, 00:30:00, 01:00:00, & Full Song cut.
That means each song with all of it's 5 cuts is $5. So a 40 song StackTraxx volume will now cost you $200!!! I don't know about you but I bought most of my StackTraxx when they were on sale for $24.
So paying a fee for $249 for the privileged of now paying $200 for content that was once $24 is an IQ test. '$1 for everything' is a huge price increase in their favor. The answer was: No. So each song has a 00:10:00, 00:15:00, 00:30:00, 01:00:00, & Full Song cut. That means each song with all of it's 5 cuts is $5. And $1 for everything' is a huge price increase in their favor. Holy s.t I suppose it could work for an editor. You would not have to buy an entire set and never use 80 to 90% of it. I don't have to worry about that any more. And while a lot of what I own is 'dated' (especially the SD only video products), I also own quite a few music sets, and ALL of the sound FX albums. So I've gotten my moneys worth.
Well, I've bought a bunch of individual titles from them before. So far, the content looks the same, I just have access to all of it now. The quality is very good.
Digital Juicer 3
My main concern is having every video editor and his brother using the same content. For those of us working on a small scale that is no big deal. I have no problem using this on my local theater ads. There are loads of movie theater themed animations and wipes for instance which is awesome for what I do. For someone doing national spots, the big issue for me would be overuse of the same content. It doesn't matter how good the content is, once you've seen it, you've seen it.

On the other hand, there is one heck of a lot of content here and I have no complaints at all about the quality or the selection. There is a little browser app for iPads that doesn't work at all right now with OS8 or OS8.1. According to an email I got back, there is a fix in the works.
